API & automations
Connect the tools you already use to the expenses in your Figa workspace. The REST API lets scripts, automation platforms, and external agents read your records or update them with the permissions you grant. You can review the same records in the Figa dashboard.
What you can automate
- Read expenses, upcoming commitments, and spending summaries for recurring reports.
- Create expenses from structured data in another system.
- Update recurring costs, categories, recipients, and payment records.
Connect your first workflow
- 1
Choose the workspace whose expenses you want to connect. API keys are available on Pro and Enterprise.
- 2
Generate a key in workspace settings. Choose read-only access for reports or write access for workflows that update records.
- 3
Save the key in your tool’s credential store. Send it in the x-api-key header when calling the Figa REST API.
- 4
Configure your workflow in n8n, Zapier, Make, an external agent, or your own script. Start with a read request to verify the connection.
- 5
Check the results in Figa. If the workflow needs to create or update expenses, configure its rules and any approval step before enabling writes.

Plans and keys
Pro includes up to 10 API keys per workspace; Enterprise has no API-key limit. Free includes manual expense entry and data export, so you can start before connecting any tools. Revoke keys you no longer use and keep them out of public code or screenshots.
Choose a setup guide
